Bekzhan Abdimanapov is known among his colleagues for his real-world tools that are already transforming the internal workings of companies, automating manual tasks, and impacting educational processes and everyday life. His experience spans software engineering, machine learning, and the creation of AI-based assistants.
From an early age, Bekzhan showed an interest in the inner workings of computers. While other kids were running around in the yard, he diligently tried to unravel the mysteries hidden within various technical programs. All this led him to the opportunity to create tools that solve real-world problems in the modern digital world.
His first experiments with code began as an attempt to automate everyday tasks and understand how technology generally makes life easier. Over time, his curiosity evolved into a conscious interest in engineering and artificial intelligence.
His time at the University of the Pacific was particularly significant for him, as Bekzhan immediately identified his desired career path and focused on computer science, software engineering, and machine learning. Bekzhan considers this period a period of active development and acquisition of fundamental academic knowledge. In addition to lectures and homework, he was actively involved in technical communities, including the Google Developers Student Club, where he worked on team projects and shared experiences with other talented developers.
Conferences and hackathons were an important part of his professional development. At CalHacks, one of the largest tech events held in partnership with the University of California, Berkeley, his team created a voice-based AI tool and won first place. As Bekzhan himself recalls, this experience became an unforgettable milestone for him and served as the starting point for a successful career as a developer.
Our hero began his professional career developing automation tools and software solutions in the banking sector. Working with Halyk Bank, he developed solutions to automate processes and reduce the time required to complete certain tasks. This work allowed him to understand the challenges and requirements facing modern companies.
He later worked as an AI engineer at Wondish and Atuvera, where he focused on fine-tuning and refining language models, personalizing recommendations, and building intelligent systems based on user data.
At Leechy LLC, he was responsible for modernizing web products. His responsibilities included implementing modern development technologies and conducting regular user experience analysis.
Among other projects, the development of a browser-based assistant for educational platforms stands out. It analyzes educational materials and helps users better navigate them. He also created AI-powered assistants that can enhance user interaction with information.
“I take a practical approach to any development project. I always start with analyzing the user problem. This helps me prioritize correctly. Then I work on prototypes, which later serve as the basis for finished products,” Bekzhan shares with us.
According to Abdimanapov, the future of artificial intelligence lies in personalization, voice interfaces, and more natural human interaction with digital technologies. He believes that artificial intelligence has already become thoroughly integrated into everyday life. However, this is not a negative. Such collaboration only allows people to expand their capabilities.
