Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
While certainly not a new trend, animal prints emerged as top patterns across the resort 2027 season, ranging from fashion‘s favorite leopard and cheetah prints to bold zebra, cow, Dalmatian and deer motifs. In the luxury market, animalier patterns came to life on fuzzy textures for the cozy winter season, as seen in Valentino, Fendi and Coach’s fuzzy leopard coats, as well as Tory Burch’s shearling jacket and Rag & Bone’s maxiskirt, both adorned with zebra prints.
The “concrete jungle” look was also one of the top five leading trends in the contemporary market’s resort collections in both day and occasionwear, as seen via Tanya Taylor’s warped zebra-striped shirt and jacket; Cara Cara and Kobi Halperin’s leopard-spotted styles, and L’Agence’s cowhide biker jacket.
The contemporary designers balanced trend with everyday ease. Here, WWD highlights 11 animal-patterned fashions to buy and wear that channel the season’s message, spanning from a flirty dress by Rat & Boa and matching sets to street chic bottoms from Zara.
