Between Code and Cloth: The Artistry of Vera Blinova

    Vera Blinova
In an era when fashion is racing toward its digital awakening, Vera Blinova stands at the crossroads of tradition and technology. Known for her work with famous brands and deep understanding of moder technologies in fashion—Vera is redefining how clothes come to life. Having spent more than a decade in the fashion industry, Vera’s career has spanned work with Calvin Klein, Paul Smith, and collection presentations during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Today, she brings that experience into a new dimension by integrating 3D fashion design into the creative and production process.

    A Designer Between Two Worlds

Vera’s relationship with design has always been a balance between emotion and logic, artistry and precision. “I’ve always loved the tactility of fabric,” she says. “But when I realized how much waste the traditional system produces in a form of samples, water, time—it became impossible to ignore. I knew the industry needed a smarter way.”
That realization led her to explore 3D modeling technologies in fashion, long before most designers understood their potential. What began as curiosity soon became her signature: a blend of digital craftsmanship and sustainable innovation that is now influencing how global companies approach fashion production.

    The Craft of the Future

Luxury has always celebrated the couture hand, the precision cut, the patience of detail. For Vera, 3D design doesn’t replace that artistry—it extends and compliments it.
“3D is the atelier of the future. It allows us to sculpt fabric in space, to perfect every line before a single piece of cloth is cut. It’s limitless creativity, that is responsible, efficient, and alive.”
The process is not merely aesthetic. Vera’s innovative approach has proven results: during her collaboration with Royal Present Embroidery, she integrated 3D workflows that increased sales by about 30%, cut down on production time, and dramatically reduced sample waste.

    Innovation Meets Accessibility

Now, as Chief Creative Officer at 99 Yards, Vera is taking that philosophy further. She’s helping build a platform that brings the power of 3D design to independent creators and emerging fashion designers. A digital studio where patterns, fabrics, and silhouettes can be mixed, modified, and rendered instantly in the cloud.
The platform’s mission is simple yet revolutionary: to make high-end digital design tools accessible at a fraction of the cost. “The next generation of designers should have access to the same creative tools as luxury brands,” Vera says. “True innovation happens when creativity is democratized.”

A Sustainable Vision for Fashion’s Next Era

Vera’s work is part of a broader transformation sweeping through the fashion world where sustainability, technology, and artistry are no longer separate ideas, but parts of the same story. Her collaborations with brands like Walmart demonstrate how 3D design can drastically reduce the industry’s carbon footprint by minimizing physical samples, water consumption, and CO₂ emissions.
“Beauty that harms the planet isn’t beautiful anymore. The new luxury is awareness.”

    Looking Ahead

Vera is a role model in a fashion industry. Beyond her work redefining how fashion is created, she continues to contribute to the creative community as a judge for the One Screen Short Film Festival, an initiative of The One Club for Creativity. The festival celebrates the intersection of film, fashion and technology. It attracts submissions from acclaimed creatives, including Oscar-winning talents and global industry leaders.
“It’s incredibly inspiring to see artists push the limits of their craft. My goal is always to recognize and encorouge ideas that challendge convention because that’s where true innovation begins”
