Steer Into Style: The Complete Guide to the Kith x BMW 2026 Collection Drop

Kith x BMW 2026 Collection Drop

To celebrate its 15th anniversary, the lifestyle and streetwear powerhouse Kith is extending its prestigious partnership with BMW into a fourth chapter. This latest installment of the ongoing collaboration features an extensive range of apparel and accessories, alongside two masterfully restored vintage automobiles: a 1972 BMW 3.0 CSi and a 1987 BMW M6 E24, both curated by Kith founder Ronnie Fieg.

The Evolution of a Shared Color Narrative

Throughout their four-part journey, Kith and BMW have utilized color as a medium to honor the automotive giant’s rich heritage. Previous collections have showcased historically significant shades such as the M3 E30’s Cinnabar Red, the custom-developed Vitality Green, and the coveted Techno Violet. For 2026, the spotlight shifts to Inka Orange, a vibrant hue that holds a special place in the hearts of BMW purists.

Inka Orange originally debuted in 1971 with the 02 series, quickly becoming the visual signature of BMW’s high-performance era in the early 1970s. Though it was initially intended to improve vehicle visibility in poor weather, the striking orange tone eventually served to emphasize the bold, redesigned silhouettes that defined BMW as a premier sporting brand. While the color eventually faded from the standard production line, it remains a legendary marker of an era that collectors deeply admire.

A Bespoke Revival of the 1972 BMW 3.0 CSi

To pay homage to this iconic shade, Fieg commissioned a one-of-one bespoke restoration of the vehicle most synonymous with Inka Orange: the 3.0 CSi. Starting with a 1972 model, Fieg and the BMW team executed a meticulous frame-off restoration. The process involved stripping the chassis to bare metal before undergoing KTL treatment and a complete professional repaint. To ensure authentic performance, the car was rebuilt using original components sourced from BMW’s archives, including the legendary M30 Big Six engine, the transmission, and the entire suspension and braking systems. The interior is equally refined, featuring caramel leather upholstery embossed with the Kith monogram, paired with meticulously restored wood trim and instrumentation.

Continuing the Legacy: The 1987 BMW M6 E24

As the successor to the E9 chassis used for the 3.0 CSi, the 6 Series represents the next step in BMW’s performance lineage. Fieg has honored this transition with a bespoke 1987 BMW M6 E24, also finished in Inka Orange. This vehicle underwent a comprehensive rotisserie restoration that balances its classic 1980s character with sophisticated Kith-inspired upgrades. Like the CSi, this model was stripped and rebuilt from the ground up, featuring a refreshed S38 inline-six engine, a Getrag five-speed manual gearbox, and period-correct BBS Style 5 wheels. The cabin mirrors the luxurious aesthetic of its predecessor, finished in caramel leather with signature monogram detailing.

    Release Schedule and Surrounding Collaborations

The Kith for BMW 2026 collection is scheduled for a global launch on August 17 at 11 a.m. EST. Items will be available through Kith’s physical storefronts, their official website, and the brand’s mobile app. This partnership is just one highlight of Kith’s busy summer schedule; the brand is also marking its 15th year with a “Linen Collection” featuring the Nike Air Max 95 and Air Force 1 Low. Additionally, Ronnie Fieg has introduced the Kith x New Balance 2011, marking the first time the brand has designed its own original silhouette in partnership with New Balance.

By blending historical automotive significance with modern streetwear sensibilities, this fourth chapter of the Kith x BMW partnership continues to redefine the boundaries of brand collaborations. The focus on the legendary Inka Orange provides a nostalgic yet fresh lens for enthusiasts, celebrating a pivotal era of German engineering through the lens of contemporary design. This anniversary collection serves as a testament to Kith’s enduring influence and its ability to tell a cohesive story across different luxury sectors.
