This idiom perfectly suits the subject of our conversation, for which we invited international lash artist, educator, and eye design expert with many years of experience in the beauty industry, Anna Zhaivoronok.
Anna specializes in high-precision lash modeling that combines aesthetics, anatomical analysis, and individualized eye-shape correction. She is the author of the Lash Balance Method, as well as the founder and developer of the professional brand Lark Beauty, under which professional materials for the lash industry are created and produced, including eyelash extension adhesives, cleansing shampoos, removers, professional tweezers, and lashes. Among Anna Zhaivoronok’s professional achievements are numerous international awards, including 1st Place — Professional 2D–3D at the Glitch Glam International Beauty Championship, USA, in 2026, as well as IBA Beauty Awards 2023–2025 in the categories Best Volume Lashes, Most Natural Look Lashes, and Top Lash Trainer.
“In the beauty industry, it is often the smallest details that create the strongest impression,” says Anna. “A neckline can visually elongate the silhouette, the shape of the eyebrows can make the features more expressive, and lashes, when their design is thoughtful and precise, can subtly transform the perception of the entire face.”
It is precisely this idea that forms the foundation of Anna Zhaivoronok’s original methodology, called the Lash Balance Method. This approach, in which lash design is not merely an aesthetic procedure but a refined way of working with the face that combines beauty, proportion, and emotion, was recognized in 2024 with the prestigious international IBA Beauty Awards. It was for this method that Anna Zhaivoronok received the award in the category “Innovator in Lash Techniques.” That is why we decided to speak with its author and innovator about the features and advantages of her signature technique.
“In the beauty industry, a typical lash artist performs the mapping immediately with the client lying down and with the eyes closed, relying on standard effect schemes,” Anna explains. “In that position, it is impossible to correctly assess asymmetry, differences in eye placement, the natural lash growth direction, and the ‘drop point,’ so the work is often done according to a template without real anatomical correction.”
By contrast, the Lash Balance Method includes mandatory diagnostics and photo analysis in a seated position, identification of the drop point, and a two-stage mapping process in two positions — sitting and lying down. According to Anna Zhaivoronok, this approach makes it possible not only to create an aesthetic effect but also to purposefully correct asymmetry, compensate for anatomical features, and balance the visual proportions of the face.
Anna notes that, in her opinion, the eyes are the emotional center of the face: “Before a person notices the shade of lipstick or the line of the cheekbones, they read the gaze. It is the eyes that convey softness of character, confidence and determination, fatigue, openness, or mystery. That is why lash design should never be reduced solely to volume.”
Anna Zhaivoronok, who is a certified international judge of IBJA (Certificate ID: 2024-1238) and an international judge of the World Beauty Championship WBC XIII (3D Volume category), is convinced that a properly selected curl can make the eyes appear more open, a shift in the length emphasis can visually elongate or soften the eye shape, and precise correction can create a harmonious balance between the upper part of the face and its overall proportions.
Significantly, Anna Zhaivoronok is not only a practicing specialist; she is also a mentor, trainer, educator, and speaker at international industry events. In 2026, Anna was an invited speaker at the Brilliance Beauty Conference held in Hurghada, Egypt. There, she presented on the topic “Psychological support for women through beauty rituals as a form of art therapy.”
Educational and consulting projects are another important area of her professional activity: “In Poland, I collaborated with salon owners as an invited expert to improve staff qualifications, implement modern techniques, and standardize the work of lash artists.” The specialists Anna trained continue to work and consistently apply the standards she introduced in their daily practice, proving an important point: the Lash Balance Method is a reproducible system that can be successfully applied by professionals across the industry.
“The modern beauty sphere is increasingly moving toward personalization,” says the founder of the Lark Beauty brand. Women no longer strive for a single universal standard of attractiveness; they choose personalized solutions that correspond to their individuality and their inner sense of self. So it can be said that the Lash Balance Method speaks precisely this new language of beauty. “Not every face needs more,” Anna says with a smile. “Most faces need precision.” The difference is subtle, but it can change everything.
