Beyond Retro has made waves in the fashion industry with its innovative approach to sustainability, and now the retailer is taking a bold step forward by launching its most ambitious collection yet. This new collection is crafted entirely from materials that have been diverted from landfills, showcasing the brand’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
As part of the brand’s new Beyond Retro Label Initiative, every single piece is made up of upcycled materials—those items, amounting to an astonishing 99.9%, that typically wouldn’t see the light of day in their retail shops. The result? A lineup of striking, contemporary silhouettes that marry vintage flair with modern trends, all while enriching their stores with a unique selection.
Beyond Retro takes its environmental commitment to heart, meticulously curating what it refers to as a “quality hoard.” According to the brand, their raw material reserve is a “thing of beauty and a real beast to maintain.” Each year, dedicated sorters sift through an eye-popping 93 million pounds of clothing, ensuring that their shops remain stocked with delightful vintage finds while their factory shelves flourish with diverse fabrics.
This labor of love not only results in a treasure trove of stylish apparel but also plays a crucial role in preventing around 600,000 garments from ending up in landfills. “It’s a goldmine of great stuff,” the brand notes, inviting both fashion lovers and eco-warriors to support a more sustainable future.
The new Beyond Retro Label features an array of second-hand fabrics, with trims and hardware reused wherever feasible, embodying the principles of circular fashion. This season’s collection boasts statement pieces like hexagonal patchwork denim, embroidered cowboy shirts, stylish cord jackets, luxurious suede outerwear, and practical workwear-inspired zip-ups—each one crafted with care and designed to stand out. It’s all part of Beyond Retro’s ongoing commitment to making fashion that respects our planet while keeping you stylish and on-trend.
